Red and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

Red and its A MAD MAD MAD MAD World are two films very similar and very funny. I found them to be similar in the star power aspect. Red is chock full of great actors and appearances, Mad World also full of silver screen stars. It might have been the grand scale of both films, which made them both good movies.
In it’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World you have a group of people stumble upon a dying man who claims that he had hidden a large sum of money in Southern California. In the groups you have a legendary cast of actors that work so well together. In the same aspect, you have Red a spy movie that consists of a great cast of characters that play retired CIA operatives that have to uncover the truth behind an operation they were previously apart of.
Both films have large and climatic endings with a big series of events. For its time Mad World had a sleuth of great effects for its time, and Red was nothing short of amazing as far as effects.
When it comes to the question, if Red will stand the test of time like Mad world, it is highly doubtful. I’ve seen both of these movies more than once and I am willing to bet the previous viewings will be the last.

  1. You had a good argument, and I see your point. The only thing is, you should go more into depth with the comparisons and contrasts, like giving more examples. Or, for your last paragraph, prove why Red won't stand the test of time.
